By accessing or using Mirath ("the Service"), operated by Rafiq Labs Inc. ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Mirath is an AI-powered Islamic inheritance (faraid) calculator that provides educational information about inheritance distribution across five schools of Islamic law (madhabs). The Service includes guided intake, faraid calculation, AI-powered educational content, and result visualization.

3. Important Disclaimers

Please read these disclaimers carefully:

  • Mirath is NOT a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on this platform constitutes legal counsel.
  • Mirath does NOT issue fatawa (Islamic legal rulings). All religious content is educational and based on established jurisprudence references.
  • Faraid calculations are provided for educational and planning purposes only. You must consult a qualified Islamic scholar and legal professional before making estate planning decisions.
  • AI-generated educational content may contain inaccuracies. It is not a substitute for scholarly consultation.

4. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the calculator. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the faraid calculation engine
  • Abuse the AI education feature (rate limited to 20 requests per hour)
  • Misrepresent Mirath's output as professional legal or religious advice
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its faraid calculation engine, AI prompts, educational content, and user interface, is owned by Rafiq Labs Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your faraid results and personal data remain yours.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rafiq Labs Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation, any errors in faraid calculations, AI-generated content inaccuracies, or reliance on the Service for estate planning decisions without professional consultation.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rafiq Labs Inc. from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
